State Highway 71 West Brochure News Release Rockland Investment Corporation (512-694-5700), Rocky Navarro, President, has announced a new 80 acres mixed use development on State Highway 71 West in Bee Cave, Texas. This 80 acres commercial development with ~4000 feet of highway frontage, will be anchored by International RAM of Austin, Texas who purchased the western 23 of the 80 acre "Summit Austin Development". Navarro, "When I was 15 years old, I saw the Galleria go up in Houston, Texas. It changed the social economic face of the Texas Gulf Coast. I was not going to miss out this time around 35 years later. Navarro continued, "I convinced the Grumbles to sell me their land in Bee Cave, Texas. Now with 4000 feet of Hwy 71 frontage, I will NOT miss the NEW GALLERIA BOOM that has now started!" In September 2007 Rockland (Summit and Varela Interest as partners), purchased 80 acres from the Grumbles Estate. The Grumbles, an old respected ranch family, has owned the land since the Civil War. In October 2007, Rockland - Summit sold 23 acres to RAM to be their future corporate campus. RAM with 2300 employees is one of the fastest growing companies in Austin specializing in domestic and international security. RAM plans to develop 230,000 square feet of corporate office. Rockland - Summit plans to develop the balance of the 57 acre as a mixed use development. John Clark of LJA Engineering, has been named project engineer for the joint development.
